A Prayer for the Future of the Church
I think there's reason the church puts pictures of these places in the back of our scriptures, because they want someone in chile, someone in the philippines, someone in peru. And i'm grateful that you've written about it, so that those who can't go there can still feel connected to it. We have a church that is heavily rooted, our theology is heavily rooted in history. Our theology is is deep and rich and profound, but it's also rooted in historical events. An inna grove, in a jail, on a trail coming west. I'd love that our sights keep those places alive.
