It looks like they drink water that has like, mushrooms in it or something. I'm sure it's an actual reference to yer kind of drug or viking ritual or something. And there's a sense of heightened reality where he suddenly comes to life, but then he goes back to being like this corpse again. So i think thereis a sense of ambiguity may be maintained. Yet i'm not sure if it's meant to make us question, or make us think, o, it's all in his head, and nothing that's happening here is real. Because i do think it clearly establishes that, at least in the context of this world, like the mystical is reality as well
