The Mystery of the Meat Biscuit
The meat biscuit was designed specifically for the North American context but it actually doesn't do as well as you might expect in North America. And does quite a bit better in the British Empire. So there is a search for highly nourishing products that have previously been kind of wasted and not been made use of. They come up with this elaborate philosophy of resource extraction, nutrition and taste which says essentially if you are able to make good use of natural resources, you're on a higher level of development than less developed countries.
