My research into mito chondria suggests there's a mitochondrial network underneath that. There are sub cellular networs right at the level of mitacondria. And then there are sort of small system so i have a colleague who has developed a very clevera set of electrical and chemical censors to actually record from very small circuits within, let's say, the primary visual cortex in the brain of a monkey.
