The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil

The name the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is so named because of what was going to happen in Genesis chapter 3. Adam and Eve would learn through rebellion against God's command to no good and evil. This wasn't a magical tree. This tree bestowed life because God's word was connected to it. It was a means by which they could respond in worship to the God who had placed them there.
