The Nuba Mountains and the Second Civil War

Sudan's Second Civil War began in the late 1980s. 2 million people were killed during the course of this war. The Nuba Mountains started to be drawn into it, but initially they were not a part of it. Sudanese government established what they referred to as peace camps for those who weren't fighting and brainwashed them there.
