The Importance of Nuclear Weapons
In many ways, the empirical dence that we do have is, well, ina, we've got herashamaa nagasaki. And it wasn't a nuclear war because it was entirely one sided. The concepts of nuclear deterrents were just about, inottentatively starting to emerge in the cadra of strategic theorists at the time. But they wasn't established any in any significant sense. If you are a believer in the ideology of nuclear weapons and the arguments that stem from that, theny you will put the lack of that empirical data base, data set, down to the successful functioning of nuclear deterrente itself. Others from a more critical perspective will question that.
