The Importance of the Genealogy

The genealogies accent the fact that these individuals and families matter. They were actually named in the scriptures recorded so that now thousands of years later, we are reading their names. And it's a reminder that each of us are also interconnected. So this is sort of a picture of the Old Testament church, both in its corporate reality as well as in its individual reality.
