How Did You Get Your First Podcast?
I started a science interview podcast back in gosh I think it was 2005, 2006 and did that for about eight months before I ended up switching to Grammar Girl. So you know I was in Silicon Valley during the dot-com boom, dropped out of school, went through a series of companies that all went out of business and then ended up freelancing so I was kind of eased into this working for yourself thing. It took me about 20 hours a week to produce this podcast because it was a lot harder to do interviews back then and there wasn't the ad platform like there is today for podcasting. Within six weeks it just well went it just blew up with crazy traffic right away
