Indian Women's Suffrage Movement - Was There Much Opposition?

In the british context, we know that a lot of suffragettes were punished for their involvement in the campaign. In the indian context, not at all. The movement was dominated by middle class and upper class women who generally came from backgrounds which had encouraged them to become involved in political participation. So i haven't come across any exam s of any one of any of the women involved in the movement being shunned by their family members. That's really, it does a really interesting difference. Was there much opposition? How vociferous was te opposition? Yes, there was,. but from indian mener against the indian women, whohave come in for the vote
