Ask permission is a great way of sutting that up and an encouraging people to toi think so much of communication doesn't land because people don't either ask permission or set it up for success. So when i ask you for permission, i'm double checking to make sure i am where you are, not just ri am. And this asking permission to give fee back is a variation of that same idea.
