Leprosy in the Mediaeval Period?
In the late eleventh and early twelfth century, first time we begin to see hospitals dedicated for under the care of leprosy sufferers. But there is very little documentary evidence for regulations concerning lepsy sufferers in mediaeval england. There doesn't seem to be any any prejudiced or any stigma attached to the disease. In some cases, they weren't stigmatized. And nactually, they lived very different lives han we might expect.
