The zoom maintains the 180 degree rule from film, but it is totally invested in the mirror stage and upholding the mirror misrecognition of yourself too. So you're not looking at yourself like everybody else sees you. No, you were looking at yourself as though you were looking in the mirror. It's really, really jarring. You can flip a button so that you see yourself the way that the other person sees you and it's jarring. I have to say that when I'm in these zoom meetings and I have to, I see myself up there, it makes me want to puke.
