The Relationship Between Red Ventricular Global Longitudinal Strain and Mortality

The goal of this study presented today in CHAC was to assess the relationship between red ventricular global longitudinal strain and mortality across different subsets of patients with abstentionsomally. Of 620 patients with a median age of 37 years, 42 percent were male. The mean absolute red ventricularglobal longitudinal strain was 19 percent. Red ventricular tissue-doper systolic velocity was 14 centimeters per second. Intapsid was 22 millimeters.
