Are the Courts Screening Out the Bad Science?
We looked at the quality, the scientific quality, of several hundred tools assessment processes that psychologist might use and bring into court as evidence. We found variation in that quality. Some of them are really good and have strong scientific underpinnings That i would stand by. Others are really poor and should be screened out of court. And should not be admissible as evidence. Then the second question that we answered was, are the courts calebrated to that? Are they recognizing the stuff that's not good scientifically, and are they screening it out? The answer is, clearly they are not.
