Antifasis in the 90's
In the 90 thirties, there wasn't a national anti facist organization as such. What you had was a kind of patchwork of different local groups and committees. The communists were a leading player in this but we shouldn't overstate their rol. You know, opposition could be violent among anti facis. Disrupt fasis meetings, for sure. In 19 36, about 60 % of fasis metings in london saw some kind of organized opposition. But also we need to bear that a good proportion of fasies meetings, whether they were in london or elsewhere, went unopposed. There was no oppositionin a large number, there was no opposition
