The Serotonin Syndrome Triad

Serotonin syndrome commonly occurs when patients are taking or being given two or more drugs that increase the effect of serotonin. This can happen in a number of different ways, but all in all it just means you've got a greater serotonergic effect. There's a whole load of substances that can cause this - cocaine, amphetamines, ecstasy and methadrome among them. It will come out in James' high quality primary survey, no doubt.
