The NASDAQ was trading 110. Now it's at what? 12, 12,600. That's up 11, 500%. If you just stuck a thousand bucks on that on the day you were born, you'd never be worth 11.5 million. The FTSE 100 index hasn't really moved for 20 years. It was kind of trading not too far off where we are now back in the year 2000. But yeah, US tech stocks have gone pretty much nowhere.
