Are There Interventions to Prevent Suffering?
There is some prima facia case for intervening a prevent sufferingi em. We already vaccinate wild animal populations against diseases when those diseases negatively affect our interests or negatively affect the interests of domesticated animals. And we could start eliminating, for example, non sentient parasites, or at least reducing the populations of non sentient parasites that plague wild animals. I think these kinds of things are the most obvious and easiest to do. Mhe mushe says he's not sure if this will make a huge difference but thinks it would be better than nothing.
