The president uses techniques in i negotiation which are designed to sort of dstabilize the person he's negotiating with. So it's always a mixture, by the way, which is a classic technique, of an element of threat, an element of bluster and an element of willingness to compromise. But so i think we have seen thi this same tactic at worst, which where the president feels makes very critical statements, but then instructs ambassador lighteiser to try to find a way forward.
