Burnout Syndrome Among Activists

Reed's mother is taking him to the Korean spa, which I thought was a very, very specific Korean trait that I like could totally understand. But Reed is burnt out. He is pretty much saying I'm a failure. And so I think on some level Reed believes that if he like exhausts himself in the movement, he's going to achieve some like noble state. Part of what this capitalist system makes you do is give everything up so that you have nothing left.
