Adam and Eve's Name Change
There are two verses in Genesis 3.15 that I think go a long way to explaining how Adam and Eve understood the meaning of their marriage. In verse 20 it says, now the man called his wife's name Eve because she was the mother of all living or you could translate that as 'the mother of all life' And significantly Adam does this, he gives her this new name immediately after God's speech. This is a name change which is always significant in the Bible as you know. There's always a meaning behind that name change.
