The Importance of Intention in Designing Meetings
The first thing is making sure that you can observe the behavior in a way that verifies your belief. Changing cultures is really hard. Change management is one of the hardest things to be successful at because you're essentially trying to break systems that exist outside of individuals. If there is the perception of low quality or low value, the behavior that you're describing which is common and happens in my organization will slowly take root. I'm on my phone, I'm keeping my laptop open, I'm responding to emails, whatever. That's an observable data point, and it's an easy thing to do. You have a notebook, you can just kind of make a list of 10 meetings or 100
