There's quite a lot of people at the moment we calling for censorship, especially when it comes to sexism, racism and faked news. Does this have any precedence in history, of ordinary people calling forr the imposition of censorship in the distant past? I don't think that this question can really be applied, because i don't think censoring speech was ever considered such a bad thing. It was just the prerogative of the majority and or of power.
