Writing as Therapy
I think it is so important for everyone to know that they're allowed to write. It's such a private thing to do. Having a professional life publication is a by product of doing that work, much, much farther down the road. I don't do morning pages. Only when i am working on a project i write. So it's a positive cycle rather than a negative one. And if somebody was practising the cello and you said, well, you know, unless you're going to play at carnegie hall, there's really no point in you playing the cello,. people understand we make music, we paint pictures, we write stories.
