The Risk of Losing Your Job

In our society, in a lot of cases, I think people make this argument, going back to the safety point of, like, you know, this job is safer. If someone loses their job, or someone's laid off, that's considered unlucky. But if someone starts a business and it fails, well, that was risky. Both are really very equivalent things: You're making a conscious decision to work that job or start that business. The reverse is also true, right? If the business is successful, you got lucky. And if the job is successful, it's smart. It discounts people's agency, that you have agency and you have power.
