Pata is trying to build trust and rapport with the different departments so they can all be aligned. I would imagine that an approach like this would have an impact on Cantay's decision, because Cantay was scarred for months and years by what happened to him with Sarri. The ownership are actually, they've devastated about the result, but they're actually really pleased with the decision Pasa took rather than doing something to try and save his own skin. He didn't throw them under the bus.
