An Archaeological Town in San Francisco

Pompey was rediscovered by accident in about 15 94. They were digging a canal to link the sano river with the munitions work further along the coast. The idea of an ancient town didn't really fit with inquisition ideology. First official excavations happened in 17 forty eight. And it later came under french rule, when they reburied it on julia felix's house.
