The Importance of Human Dignity in Law

The most obvious case to me is the issue of homelessness. We're all inured to the idea that we'll walk around london and there will be somebody who is sleeping on on a sewer grade. It seems to me that our legal and social policies could benefit from a more rigorous invocation of principles of dignity. I'm not a very politically savy person, but i think what you're asking for iss essentially for this notion of dignity to be used as as a political, a rallying crie. And then perhaps dignity will have moreof an inch with which to cut through some of the awful situations that you talked about.
