Ray i wonder if there's a feeling like wanting tobe with others that is a bit of a bridge for him, that helps him out of that sletherin definedness. I want to point out that harry isn't the only one who has a conversation with the sorting house. It's always fun when we choose a theme, because the theme shows up in random places. And i think this idea of victimhood and definition is also at play with nearly headless nick as well.
