What Do You Think About Castles?
I think i have two visions of castles. One is as a ruin in lyrical english landscape, and the other is of something in a film,. Something reconstructed, something living. And yet they are two sides of a coin, aren't they? I suppose that they actually run through the whole story of the castle - so i see two things. We all know at one level where castles begin, but only to look at them in those terms, it is terribly limited... The story is cumulative, and it's still going on. There are lots of castles that are still lived in. It's absurd to say that the history of windsor stops when people stop thinking of of windsor as
