What's New Liberalism's Moral Grammar?
New liberalism has a very strong moral grammar, which is based on ideas of sacrifice. And yet, this was absolutely evident after the aftermath of te two thousand and eight crisis. Same thing in what happened in europe with greece where suddenly the problem with greek banks was turned into, you no t the reason for that is great. People just love sitting in their squares and drinking coffee and playing chess all day. Shameful behavior, yatats. Obviously, that's just northern europe being jealous of the mediterranean, but couched in moral terms. That seems so important for understanding how all of these various reactionary idiologies from above and below converge.
