The Problem With Christian Nationalism
The term Christian nationalism refers to the use of Christian words, symbols, or rituals as a means to shore up an ethnic or national identity. Popularly, Christian nationalists assert that America is and must remain a quote unquote Christian nation. They do not reject the First Amendment and do not advocate for theocracy but they do believe that Christianity should enjoy a privileged position in the public square.
