The Industrial Revolution and the Luddites

The Industrial Revolution certainly got rid of some jobs, but it also elevated certain specialized jobs to a higher level of prominence. The biggest dangers aren't necessarily this stuff itself; it's the environment into which they were foisted. And if you already have your hands on the lever of power, then your first question is how can I get in front of this? How can I ride the wave instead of being crushed underneath it?
