The High Priestly Prayer of Jesus Christ

In the last line of chapter 16, jesus says, i have said this to you, that in me, you may have peace. And r s v translation says, in the world, you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer, because i have overcome the world. This is one of the critical pieces for all all of us who follow after jesusu. We recognize that he doesn't promise us life free from pain. Doesn't promise us that following him would give us anything except what it brought: humiliation and loss.
