Marxism in China - The May 4th Movement
In May of 1919, a mere 19 months after the Bolsheviks toppled the provisional government in Russia, Communism made his entree into China. The anti-imperialist nature of Marxism resonated with the Chinese at this particular time. Li Tachau was the librarian at Peking University and set up a study group there that became ground zero for the earliest beginnings of communism in China.
