Is There a Shareholder Impact?
The shifting political dynamics in the united states, where more and more republican voters are thinking that big business is bad for the country. The increasing need of younger employees to pressure companies to take issues on social ad takes stands on social issues. Is there a shareholder impact? Because i think of nike as one of the most prominent examples of an outspoken, progressive company. I have to imagine nike's goal is to be highly respected by teens. And perhaps their i don't think people view it as politics, but their sort of cool factor has a lot to do with that.
