Book Review - Palo Alto by Leland Stanford

Palo Alto gets founded as an escape route from San Francisco in the 1870s for Leland Stanford, right? He's got to make a suburb for himself to escape to. And Palo Alto then from that point on for the next 150 years is this outlet for class conflict,. Not just in San Francisco or in the regional area, but for the world in general. The book does a really amazing job at laying out this really place-based in-depth deep history kind of over that time period.
