The Staff in the Book of Numbers
The bible gives signs to moses, confirming signs. A staff in the bible, represents the man himself. When Moses throws it to the ground, he is relinquishing his work as a shepherd. The lord said to him, put your hand into your bosom, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous like snow. And god says that this is a sign that they may believe that the lord, the god of their fathers, abraham, isaac and jacob, has appeared to you.
