How to Write a Good Story

Dan Simmons: I do a mix of both. The Cyberpunk series that I have coming out later this year is a good example. And as we're preparing for this, I was trying to think, which do I do first? They play back and forth across each other constantly. Doing that on the fly is hard, but that's what revision is for. Yes, that's why I constantly think that you're crazy as a writer because I'm more of an outliner.
