Did the Accusa Get Involved?

A Japanese media company decided to release the names of four boys involved in a brutal torture case. The news outlet said they didn't want them "bullied by the press" A lot of people think that the accusa got involved secretly and that was why the boys had such low sentences, but it didn't seem like the accusa denounced anything or like started protesting against the boys.
