The Invention of the Modern Dog, Breed and Relationship
In 1946, Pathé pictorial released a series of very short films called Dusty and Dave. The first film is this lovely story of a very kind lady making up Dave's shilling so that he can live happily ever after with Dusty. Professor Julie Marie Strange says it tells us an awful lot about the ways in which keeping dogs has changed over time.
