The Duchess's Soup

Lorenzo gave Luca the hat that makes him instantly disappear. He slipped on the hat and immediately became invisible to the human eye. The Duchess was eating a bowl of soup at her long cable when Luca appeared. Still invisible, Luca lunged toward the table and grabbed the Duchess's bowl of soup. Then he drank it all down in one big slurp. What is going on here? How is my soup disappearing? She dropped her spoon with a clatter as Luca began to speak.
