The Challenges of LGBT+ Filmmaking
I'm struck by with the, you know, what did the LGBT plus community do to change opinions. The challenge that I think you put in many ways quite rightly to evangelical filmmaking is that it continually presents the Christian as hero. When was the last time you saw a film in which the hero was a Christian that wasn't one of these embarrassing evangelical films? Well, Joss Whedon gave Captain America a kind of a throwaway line: There's only one God. And that was the beginning,. But I wouldn't call that Christian representation. It would have to be sympathetic and just kind of inserting a Christian in there.
