The Inner Monologue Parent Tells You

I think I just never said out loud how bad I wanted to direct film because I never thought it would... Well, I knew it would happen, but I knew everybody would laugh at me, right? So I was quietly just like studying. And everyone who's read my scripts since then is like, oh shit, the crazy man from Fresh Off the Boat is back. Like Boogie was a very like, I think it was a really good astute film of somebody that was scared to break rules. You know, if you didn't do that, it would have been a fucking piece of shite.
