The Fed's Preference Inflation Measure
The Federal Reserve raised the Fed funds rate to five and a quarter this week. The PC which is the feds preferred inflation measure 3.0% overall 4.1 x food and energy, both down versus May and the lowest in two years. So for the Fed looking at data data data, those are some good data points, but the trend has been downward.
