Tilgo's work was influential on people like adam smith, his essays on universal history. And he performs a kind of intellectual counter thrust there, which i think we're still living with. He as the non european societies, yes, they can have these social freedoms, but it's not because they are in any way models for us. It's actually because they're inferior to us.
