The Purpose of Prayer

Prayer is really more of a self-empting, like a meditation rather than an interceding or kind of bargaining chip. I do think that there is some mysterious quality about being in the presence of someone while you're praying for them. It comes back to the sense of encounter with presence and in that way it's very earth based and very sensory in the way of the natural world.
