What's Happened to Europe in the 2022 Contest?
At the start in the 19 fifties and 19 sixties, it was all about whether you had television service. Later on it became more political, let's say, in the 19 seventies when mediterranean states started to enter. Then from the late 19 eighties, we see the first big country really pull out of, yourovision for a long time, and that is italy. And then with the financial crisis, we see countries not participating because of the economic cost of participation. So you really do see, you know, different wavs of participation in the contest, affected by different technological, political and economic issues.
