The New Science Reveals Flash of Memory in Cephalopods
The nautilus is a much older organism and it's less advanced bright compared to other cephalopods. Yet they do have a form of short-term memory that we're still trying to really understand how it works because they shouldn't be capable of any kind of higher brain function. But in experiments they found that if they use flashes of light paired with food they'll actually be able to train the cepHalopod to extend its tentacles whenever there's that light.
